The Electro-Voice ZLX-12P-G2 is a 12in 2-way powered loudspeaker designed to deliver high acoustic output and clear full-range performance. It combines a 12-inch woofer and a high-frequency driver in an optimized SST baffle for consistent coverage. This model ships with a US power cord and a durable polypropylene enclosure suited for transport and repeated use.
The ZLX-G2 series integrates a POWERED BY DYNACORD digital mixer that includes onboard FX, parametric EQ, automatic feedback suppression (AFS), and ducking. The mixer provides two XLR/TRS combo inputs plus a 1/4-inch TS Hi-Z input and supplies 24V phantom power for condenser microphones. Bluetooth stereo streaming and linking are built in for wireless playback and true wireless stereo setups.
Performance specifications include a frequency response of 54 Hz to 18,500 Hz (-3 dB) and an extended frequency range to 48 Hz to 20,000 Hz (-10 dB). Maximum SPL at 1 m is 127 dB and the acoustic coverage pattern is 90deg x 60deg. A crossover point at 1.40 kHz and a 1000 W power rating provide the headroom and dynamics needed for live sound reinforcement.
Connectivity is flexible with two XLR/TRS combo connectors and one 1/4-inch TS Hi-Z input for instrument-level sources. Bluetooth streaming supports stereo playback and linking multiple units is supported via the QuickSmart Mobile app. The speaker also includes Electro-Voice-specific subwoofer presets that handle gain and time alignment for optimized system integration.
Typical applications include FOH duties for small to medium venues, portable PA setups for musicians and presenters, and fixed installations that require a compact powered loudspeaker with DSP control. The unit’s SPL capability and frequency extension make it suitable for speech and music reproduction in clubs, houses of worship, and corporate events. Bluetooth linking and app control simplify multi-speaker arrangements and grouping of up to six loudspeakers.
