The TLM-170KR is a 17.3in 4K UHD rackmount production monitor designed for broadcast and live production environments. It provides an Ultra HD 3840×2160 IPS panel with wide viewing angles and HDR support – enabling accurate monitoring of modern high dynamic range sources. The monitor is built for rack installation and integrates professional monitoring tools for camera crews and engineers.
Key features include support for DCI 4K and UHD 4K at up to 60p over 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs, built-in waveform and vector scope displays, and focus peaking and false color tools for exposure and focus verification. The panel offers 300 cd/m2 brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio along with Rec 709 and DCI P3 color presets to help match camera and post workflows. HDR modes include HLG and SMPTE 2084 for accurate HDR monitoring and metadata visualization.
Technically the monitor uses an Ultra HD 3840×2160 IPS panel with a 178 degree viewing angle and delivers pixel-for-pixel display and zoom options for critical inspection. It accepts a wide range of SDI and HDMI formats including 4096x2160p and 3840x2160p at common frame rates and pulldown-styled formats. Audio is handled as embedded 48 kHz streams with analog stereo out and built-in speakers for local monitoring.
Connectivity covers 1x 12G-SDI and 2x HDMI 2.0 inputs with loop-through outputs (1x 12G-SDI loop, 1x HDMI loop) to enable daisychaining or signal distribution. The monitor exposes tally LED status indicators for live and cued states to integrate with production switchers. Additional tools include camera log/Gamma controls, pixel-to-pixel mapping, H/V delay and image flip for multi-camera workflows.
Common use cases include multicamera live production racks, broadcast control rooms, on-set camera monitoring racks and portable OB vans where a compact 7U rack panel is required. The TLM-170KR is suitable for HDR grading checks, focus and exposure verification, and as a master monitor in 4K signal chains. Its rack form factor and loop-through connectivity make it easy to insert into existing SDI/HDMI infrastructures.
Installation and operation are straightforward with supplied rack ears and a 12V DC power adapter.
