Description
The AT-HDR-EX-100CEA-TX is a HDBaseT transmitter designed to extend 4K/UHD and HDR video signals over structured copper cabling. It sends 4K/60 4:4:4 video, HDR metadata, multi-channel audio, Ethernet and control signals up to 330 ft (100 m) over Category 6/6A cable. The unit supports HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision for modern HDR workflows.
Key capabilities include visually lossless compression with no perceptible latency, support for HDCP 2.2 protected content, and PoE delivery to compatible receivers. The transmitter carries bidirectional RS-232 and IR control and provides a TOSLINK return audio path from a display when paired with a compatible receiver. Front panel LEDs and a USB firmware port allow status checking and simple updates.
Video performance covers 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 at up to 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling under supported conditions and multiple VESA resolutions. Color depth up to 12-bit and chroma sampling options of 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 are supported depending on the source and link. The transmitter is compliant with current HDBaseT standards and provides link status testing for reliable installations.
Connectivity includes an HDMI input, HDBaseT RJ45 output, optical TOSLINK return, a LAN RJ45 port, a utility mini-USB port, and captive-screw connectors for RS-232/IR and DC power. The unit supplies remote power to compatible receivers over the HDBaseT link and supports common switcher integration for specific 4K/UHD 4:2:0 workflows. Rear-panel connections are arranged to simplify wire management.
Typical applications include point-to-point AV extension in auditoriums, classrooms, and corporate spaces where 4K HDR sources need to be located remotely from displays. It is suitable for digital signage runs, boardroom systems, and lecture halls requiring device control and audio return. The unit works best when paired with the AT-HDR-EX-100CEA-RX receiver or compatible Atlona HDBaseT products.
Installation is straightforward due to compact housing that can be mounted in furniture, lecterns or racks and captive-screw power and control connectors for secure wiring. Operating temperature and humidity ranges support standard AV environments and the external power supply accepts universal AC input. The AT-HDR-EX-100CEA-TX offers a compact, reliable solution for extending HDR-capable 4K signals and integrated control over a single Cat cable.
