The KD-Pro4x1X-3 is a 4×1 HDMI switcher designed to route up to four HDMI sources to a single display while providing selectable audio de-embedding. It supports UHD and DCI 4K formats up to 60 Hz and provides HDCP 2.2 authentication for protected content. The switcher is intended for professional AV environments that require dependable switching and audio extraction.

Key features include automatic source detection and switching, analog and digital audio de-embedding, and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The unit handles TMDS reclocking and EDID management to preserve signal integrity across sources and displays. Lossless compressed audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD are supported for full multichannel audio pass-through.

Performance specifications include support for DCI 4K and UHD 4K at up to 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma and an 18 Gb/s data bandwidth. Deep color handling enables up to 12-bit 4:4:4 at 4K30 or 8-bit 4:4:4 at 4K60 depending on source capability. The internal buffering manages HDCP authentication to both sources and displays to ensure consistent handshakes.

Connectivity covers four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, plus analog 3.5 mm stereo, balanced/unbalanced block line level, and optical S/PDIF outputs for de-embedded audio. Control options include front panel buttons, IR, optical IR, RS-232, trigger in, TCP/IP, and app-ready integration via Key Digital’s control ecosystem. The switcher also supports CEC passthrough and PTZ camera integration when combined with compatible Key Digital accessories.

Common applications include conference rooms, classrooms, huddle spaces, small theaters, and gaming setups where multiple HDMI sources must be presented to a single screen with separate audio distribution. The auto-sensing feature can automatically select a newly connected active source while status-monitoring LEDs provide clear operational feedback. The device can be paired with Key Digital amplifiers for combined audio and video control.

Installation is rack-friendly and includes mounting brackets and terminal connectors for balanced audio and control wiring. The compact chassis and included power supply simplify deployment in AV racks or furniture. Firmware updates and service access are provided via the micro-USB service port for maintenance and feature updates.
