The CL-8D is an 8 inch in-ceiling Dante network speaker designed to provide clear speech and full-range music playback in commercial audio installations. It combines a built-in amplifier, DSP and two-channel mixer to deliver configurable tuning and reliable power over Ethernet. The product is optimized for integration into facility AV systems requiring Dante audio distribution and remote control.

Key features include a high-output 8 inch low-frequency driver and a 1 inch soft-dome tweeter, integrated DSP with parametric EQ, high-pass and low-pass filters, input compression and output limiting. The speaker supports PoE / PoE+ / PoE++ auto-negotiation for flexible power sourcing and includes a Find Me tone to quickly identify units during commissioning. Front-access wiring and a factory reset button simplify commissioning and maintenance tasks.

Performance specifications include a frequency range down to 55 Hz (-10 dB) and a usable response within 70 Hz to 18 kHz (±3 dB). Sensitivity is specified at 90 dB SPL (1W@1m) and the CL-8D can produce up to 100 dB continuous SPL and 105 dB peak on PoE++ power. Connectivity centers on a Dante-enabled RJ-45 network port supporting audio over IP and remote management via Kramer Control or third-party control using the API. The unit exposes network management, DSP routing and power management settings through Kramer Speaker Utility. Physical installation is aided by magnetic paintable grills in black and white and a removable logo for discreet ceiling integration.
