Description

The CL-6D is a 6.5in in-ceiling PoE powered Dante speaker designed to provide clear speech and quality background music in commercial spaces. It combines a high-output 165mm LF driver and a liquid-cooled 19mm soft-dome HF tweeter to deliver balanced audio. The enclosure and grille are designed for clean ceiling integration and fire safety compliance.

Integrated amplification, DSP, and a two-channel mixer enable local mixing and tuning without external amplifiers or processors. The speaker supports parametric EQ, high-pass and low-pass filters, input compression, output limiting, and a Find Me tone for easy commissioning. PoE power negotiation supports PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ to match available infrastructure.

Acoustic performance covers a frequency range of 70Hz to 20kHz (-10dB) with a specified frequency response of 80Hz to 18kHz (±3dB). Sensitivity is specified at 88dB SPL (1W@1m) and the speaker can deliver up to 103dB peak SPL on PoE++ power. Power handling varies by PoE class and supports 10W continuous with higher short-term peaks depending on PoE level.

Connectivity is via a standard RJ-45 network interface supplying Dante audio and PoE power. Front-access wiring, a factory reset button, and a software-configurable Speaker Utility simplify setup and maintenance. Remote control and monitoring are supported via Kramer Control or third-party systems using the available API.

The CL-6D is suitable for boardrooms, classrooms, retail areas, and hospitality venues where distributed networked audio and clean ceiling aesthetics are required. Its safety certifications, plenum rating, and UL1480A compliance make it appropriate for commercial installations. Magnetic black and white grilles are included to match ceiling finishes.

Installation is straightforward using the supplied C-ring and brackets and supports up to 60mm ceiling thickness with a 4-point dog-ear clamp. The back enclosure and baffle use flame-retardant materials and the grille is paintable and removable for servicing. The unit ships with simple documentation and a cutout template to speed deployment.
