Description

The AW-6D is an all-weather IP66 wall-mount Dante speaker designed for networked audio environments. It combines a 6.5in low-frequency driver and a 1in soft dome high-frequency driver to deliver clear voice and music reproduction. The speaker is PoE powered and UL compliant for mixed indoor and outdoor installations.

Integrated processing and amplification allow local two-channel mixing, parametric EQ, high-pass and low-pass filtering, input compression, and output limiting. A built-in two-channel mixer and DSP simplify system tuning and provide consistent audio control across locations. The unit supports PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ with auto-negotiation for flexible power options.

Acoustic performance includes a frequency range of 60Hz to 20kHz (-10dB) and a ±3dB response of 84Hz to 20kHz. Sensitivity is 90dB SPL at 1W/1m and maximum continuous SPL reaches 100dB with peaks up to 105dB depending on power class. Built-in protections include over-current, output short-circuit, and over-temperature management to protect amplifier and drivers.

Connectivity is via RJ45 for Dante audio and PoE power, plus a factory reset button for field maintenance. Device configuration and firmware updates are handled using the vendor Speaker Utility software, and a control API supports integration with Kramer Control and third-party systems. A “find me” tone also assists installers in identifying individual units on the network.

The AW-6D supports surface mounting vertically or horizontally using a toolless bracket and includes a removable aluminum grille and aluminum mounting bracket. The enclosure is constructed from V-0 flame retardant material and meets UL62368 safety requirements for indoor use while remaining IP66 rated for outdoor exposure. Operating range covers -5 to +50 C and non-condensing humidity from 30% to 85% RH.

As a networked Dante loudspeaker with onboard DSP and amplifier, the AW-6D provides a compact, serviceable solution for venues requiring consistent audio coverage across indoor and outdoor areas. Its PoE power options, remote control API, and installer features reduce system complexity and ongoing maintenance overhead. The combination of weather rating, UL compliance, and audio tuning tools makes it suitable for professional AV installations.
