Description
The EVF-1122D/99-PIW is a two-way, high-output point-source loudspeaker designed for fixed installations and arrayed deployments. It delivers focused 90 x 90 nominal coverage from a rotatable constant-directivity horn and combines a 12in low-frequency transducer with a 3in titanium compression driver. The enclosure is weatherized with EVCoat and finished in white for outdoor or indoor exposed installations.
Key features include a DH7N 3in titanium compression driver with a 1.4in throat, a FEA-optimized DVX3121A 12in woofer, and a rotatable 12in x 12in constant-directivity horn. The internal crossover is optimized at 1300 Hz with steep 24 dB per octave slopes and integrated HF protection for reliability. The cabinet accepts optional flying hardware and can be arrayed vertically or horizontally with other EVF and EVH series elements.
Performance is linear across a wide bandwidth with a measured frequency range down to 49 Hz and extension to 21 kHz, and a maximum deviation from linearity of ±2 dB. Sensitivity is 97 dB 1 W/1 m and calculated peak SPL is 131 dB, supported by continuous/program/peak power handling of 600 / 1200 / 2400 W. The speaker includes dynamic protection circuits to guard both LF and HF sections against thermal overload.
Connectivity is handled via a Phoenix-style euroblock input panel, with PI and FG versions supporting dual-gland-nut or NL4-style covers for weatherized terminations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or bi-amp operation and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for distributed systems. Input panel accepts heavy gauge cable and multi-pin phoenix connectors for secure wiring.
The EVF-1122D/99-PIW suits a wide range of installed audio tasks including house-of-worship systems, auditoriums, stadium concourses, and outdoor venues where controlled coverage and high intelligibility are required. The rotatable horn and arrayable rigging permit precise aiming and coverage matching across mixed-element arrays. Weatherized finishes and stainless fasteners extend service life in harsh environments.
Installation is simplified by a compact trapezoidal enclosure built from 13-ply weather-resistant birch and finished with white textured paint. Suspension uses 22 M10 threaded points and one EBK-M10-EVI kit of four forged eyebolts is included for basic mounting. The front is protected by a powder-coated grille backed with acoustic foam and the PI/FG versions meet IP55 environmental ratings for sustained humidity below 80 percent.
