Description
The EVF-1122D/99 is a two-way, arrayable point-source loudspeaker engineered for clear speech and music reproduction in fixed-install environments. It combines a 12 in low-frequency transducer with a 3 in titanium compression driver on a 90 x 90 constant-directivity waveguide to deliver consistent coverage. The enclosure is weather-resistant and finished in EVCoat for enhanced protection in exposed applications.
Key features include a FEA-optimized 12 in woofer for low distortion and high efficiency, a DH7N 3 in titanium compression driver with a 1.4 in throat, and a rotatable 12 x 12 constant-directivity horn. The internal passive crossover is set at 1,300 Hz with a steep 24 dB/octave slope and integrated EQ for smooth vocal response. A dynamic HF protection circuit helps preserve long-term reliability under high SPL conditions.
Performance extends from approximately 49 Hz to 21 kHz (-10 dB) with a very linear response and a sensitivity around 97 dB 1 W/1 m. System power handling is rated at 600 W continuous, 1200 W program, and 2400 W peak, supporting a calculated max SPL of 131 dB at 1 m. Nominal impedance for passive operation is 8 ohms and the recommended high-pass frequency is 65 Hz.
Connectivity is provided via a Euroblock (Phoenix) input panel that accepts heavy-gauge wiring up to 10 AWG, and PI/FG versions include a dual-gland-nut input-panel cover for weatherized installations. An external jumper allows quick selection between passive and bi-amp modes, and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for distributed systems. The enclosure supports multiple rigging points enabling vertical and horizontal arrays with other EVF and EVH series models.
Typical applications include installed sound reinforcement in houses of worship, performing arts spaces, corporate auditoria, and outdoor covered venues where predictable coverage and vocal clarity are required. The 90 x 90 coverage pattern and rotatable horn simplify alignment for rooms with constrained geometry or where both horizontal and vertical arrays are needed. The EVCoat and stainless-steel hardware improve reliability in humid or coastal environments.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the trapezoidal enclosure, multiple M10 suspension points, and optional flying hardware. The 13-ply weather-resistant birch construction and powder-coated steel grille backed with acoustic foam provide robust protection while minimizing resonances. Overall, the EVF-1122D/99 delivers controlled coverage, high SPL capability, and weather resistance for demanding fixed-install projects.
