Description
The EVF-1122D/96-FGB is a fully weatherized two-way point-source loudspeaker designed for outdoor and exposed fixed-install environments. It combines a 12 in low-frequency transducer and a 3 in titanium compression driver on a 90 x 60 constant-directivity waveguide to deliver clear vocal intelligibility and controlled coverage. The enclosure uses fiberglass-coated birch and stainless-steel hardware to resist sun, rain, fog, snow and salt air.
Key features include a DH7N 3 in titanium compression driver, a FEA-optimized DVX3121A 12 in woofer, and a rotatable 12 in x 12 in constant-directivity horn. The integrated crossover is a 4th-order design with a 1,300 Hz acoustic crossover point and steep 24 dB/octave slopes, plus a dynamic protection circuit for thermal protection. The system offers switchable passive or bi-amp operation for flexible deployment options.
Performance specifications include a very linear response through the mid and high range, high sensitivity and a calculated maximum SPL of 131 dB at 1 m. Power handling is rated at 600 W continuous and 2,400 W peak, and the recommended high-pass frequency is 65 Hz. Nominal impedances are 8 ohm passive and an LF nominal impedance of 8 ohm while minimum impedance is 6 ohm.
Connectivity is industry-friendly via a dual four-pin 10 AWG Phoenix/Euroblock input panel with an included CDG dual-gland-nut cover for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted for distributed systems. Suspension and rigging support multiple M10 threaded points to facilitate flown or stacked arrays.
The EVF-1122D/96-FGB is suited to applications that require direct exposure to the elements while maintaining high intelligibility – including outdoor venues, themed attractions, house-of-worship exteriors and poolsides. The 90 x 60 coverage provides predictable dispersion for targeted coverage and reduces spill to adjacent areas. The rotatable horn and compatibility across EVF/EVH series cabinets simplify system design and scaling.
Installation and maintenance are simplified by a compact trapezoidal enclosure, an easy external operation-mode switch and robust stainless-steel fasteners and grille. The textured black finish and powder-coated grille with acoustic backing provide long-term protection and discreet aesthetics. The result is a weatherized loudspeaker that balances consistent performance, ease of integration and long-term reliability in exposed environments.
