Description
The EVF-1122D/94-PIB is a compact two-way point-source loudspeaker designed for fixed installations that require controlled coverage and high intelligibility. It combines a 12in low-frequency transducer with a 3in titanium compression driver on a 90 x 40 constant-directivity waveguide. The enclosure is weather-protected using EVCoat and features a rugged birch construction for long-term durability.
Key features include a FEA-optimized 12in woofer for low distortion and high efficiency, a DH7N 3in titanium compression driver, and a rotatable CD horn to align coverage to the venue. The integrated 4th order crossover at 1300 Hz uses 24 dB/octave slopes plus HF protection and a dynamic protection circuit for reliable operation at high levels. The cabinet accepts passive or bi-amp configurations via an external jumper for flexible system integration.
Performance metrics deliver a wide usable bandwidth and strong vocal clarity. The frequency range extends from 49 Hz to 21 kHz (-10 dB) with a typical response of 57 Hz to 18 kHz (-3 dB) and sensitivity of 97 dB 1 W/1 m. Calculated maximum SPL at 1 m reaches 131 dB and continuous power handling is rated at 600 W with peak capability up to 2400 W.
Connectivity and installation are straightforward for installed systems. The input panel uses a Euroblock/Phoenix connector and accepts up to 10 AWG, and PI/FG versions include dual-gland-nut cover options for weatherized connections. An externally accessible jumper switches passive/active mode and a transformer kit is available for 70.7/100 V distributed systems. The enclosure provides multiple threaded suspension points and optional flying hardware for rigging.
The EVF-1122D/94-PIB suits a range of installed audio applications where accurate directional control and durability are required. It can be arrayed vertically or horizontally with other EVF/EVH series cabinets to scale coverage or combined with subwoofers for extended low-frequency output. The rotatable horn and selectable operating modes make it adaptable to theaters, houses of worship, and outdoor-covered venues.
Built for installation environments, the trapezoidal 13-ply birch cabinet is coated with EVCoat for enhanced weather resistance and fitted with a powder-coated steel or stainless steel grille backed by hydrophobic cloth. External hardware and stainless steel fasteners improve corrosion resistance and the product meets IEC ingress protection ratings for standard and PI/FG weatherized versions. The design balances acoustic performance, reliability, and serviceability for long-term installed use.
