Description
The EVF-1122D/66-PIB is a compact two-way point-source loudspeaker designed for fixed install and weather-exposed environments. It delivers controlled 60 x 60 degree coverage and a rotatable constant-directivity horn for precise pattern alignment. The enclosure is weather-protected using Electro-Voice EVCoat and stainless hardware for extended outdoor durability.
Key features include a 12 inch FEA-optimized woofer and a 3 inch titanium compression driver mated to a 12 inch x 12 inch rotatable CD horn. The integrated crossover uses a steep 24 dB/octave slope with HF protection and an acoustic crossover at 1300 Hz. An externally accessible switch enables bi-amp or passive operation for installation flexibility.
Performance is specified from 49 Hz to 21 kHz (-10 dB) and a very linear response with maximum deviation of +/-2 dB in the usable band. Sensitivity is 97 dB (1 W/1 m) and calculated peak SPL reaches 131 dB. Continuous/program/peak power handling is 600 W / 1200 W / 2400 W respectively, providing strong output for speech and music reinforcement.
Connectivity is via a Phoenix-style euroblock input panel that accepts large gauge wiring up to 10 AWG and includes options for dual NL4 covers or gland-nut weatherized covers. PI and FG versions supply dual-gland-nut input-panel covers and the unit is compatible with an optional 70.7/100-V transformer kit for distributed systems. An external mode jumper selects passive or active operation quickly on-site.
The EVF-1122D/66-PIB is suitable for indoor and outdoor installations including houses of worship, stadium concourses, retail spaces, and themed attractions where controlled coverage and weather resistance are required. Its arrayable trapezoidal form factor allows vertical and horizontal arrays using other EVF/EVH series modules. The rotatable horn and consistent off-axis response simplify aiming in complex venues.
Built for installers, the cabinet uses 13-ply birch with EVCoat finish, stainless steel grille and fasteners, and 22 M10 suspension points for safe rigging. The front grille is powder-coated steel backed with acoustic foam and the product meets IEC ingress protection ratings for weatherized versions. Overall the design balances acoustic performance, environmental protection, and installation efficiency.
