Description
The EVF-1122D/64-PIB is a compact two-way point-source loudspeaker designed to deliver articulate vocal and musical reproduction in fixed-install applications. It combines a 12 inch low-frequency driver with a high-output compression driver and a constant-directivity waveguide to produce controlled coverage. The enclosure is weather-protected with EVCoat and finished in PI weatherized black.
Key features include a 3 inch DH7N titanium compression driver, a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide approximating 60 x 40 coverage, and a DVX3121A 12 inch woofer engineered for low distortion. The passive crossover is a 4th-order design with HF protection and equalization to smooth vocal-range response. Power handling supports 600 W continuous and peaks up to 2400 W for demanding program material.
Performance highlights include a calculated maximum SPL of 131 dB and a sensitivity of 97 dB measured at 1 W/1 m. The unit uses steep 24 dB per octave crossover slopes with the internal passive crossover set at 1300 Hz. Frequency range is published as -10 dB 49 Hz – 21 and -3 dB 57 Hz – 18 and the recommended high-pass frequency is 65 Hz to protect the LF driver and improve system headroom.
Connections are provided via a Phoenix-style Euroblock input by default and PI/FG versions include a dual-gland-nut input-panel cover for field weatherization. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and a 70.7/100-V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for distributed systems. The rotatable waveguide and array-ready rigging permit vertical or horizontal arrays with other EVF and EVH series cabinets.
This loudspeaker is suited to houses of worship, corporate AV installations, small to mid-size performance venues, and covered outdoor applications where weather-resistant construction is required. The EVCoat finish and 13-ply birch enclosure provide protection against the elements and maintain consistent acoustic performance. Its compact footprint and arrayability reduce the number of different cabinets required across installations.
Installation is simplified through 22 M10 threaded suspension points and an included EBK-M10-EVI kit of four forged eyebolts. The trapezoidal cabinet shape eases flown or ground-stacked array alignment and the rotatable horn supports flexible orientation. Together, these features deliver reliable long-term performance and straightforward deployment for integrators and installers.
