Description
The EVF-1122D/126-FGW is a fully weatherized two-way loudspeaker engineered to deliver clear, intelligible sound in exposed outdoor and fixed-install environments. It combines a 12" low-frequency driver and a 3" titanium compression driver on a Constant Directivity 120 x 60 horn to provide focused coverage. The enclosure is fiberglass-coated over weather-resistant birch to withstand direct exposure to sun, rain, fog and snow.
Key features include a FEA-optimized 12" woofer for low distortion, a DH7N 3" titanium compression driver for high-frequency detail, and a rotatable CD horn for flexible orientation. The integrated 4th-order crossover at 1300 Hz with 24 dB/octave slopes and a dynamic protection circuit preserves smooth vocal-range response and long-term reliability. The system can be used in passive mode or switchable to bi-amp operation to match system design needs.
Performance specifications offer wide bandwidth and high SPL capability – the speaker has a published frequency range to 21 kHz and a calculated maximum SPL of 131 dB at 1 m. Power handling is rated at 600 W continuous and 2400 W peak, with nominal impedance values of 8 ohms. The recommended high-pass frequency is 65 Hz and on-axis sensitivity is 97 dB at 1 W/1 m for efficient output.
Connectivity is handled via a Phoenix-style dual four-pin 10 AWG input panel with an available CDG dual-gland-nut cover for weatherized installations or optional NL4 cover plate. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and a field-mountable 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be added for distributed systems. Suspension uses (22) M10 threaded points for flown or fixed mounting arrangements and optional flying hardware is available.
This loudspeaker suits a range of applications such as outdoor paging and music systems, architectural foreground reinforcement, and perimeter or plaza coverage where permanent weather exposure is expected. The 120 x 60 nominal coverage pattern and rotatable horn let designers shape horizontal and vertical coverage to match venue geometry. The IP55 environmental rating and stainless-steel grille/fasteners ensure durability in coastal and high-humidity conditions.
Installation and serviceability are simplified by a compact trapezoidal enclosure, external operation-mode switch, and standard Phoenix connectors that accept up to 10 AWG cable. The enclosure finish is a white textured paint over fiberglass-coated birch plywood for long-term resistance to UV and moisture. Internal passive crossover components are optimized for low distortion and consistent off-axis performance.
In summary, the EVF-1122D/126-FGW offers rugged weather resistance, controlled 120 x 60 coverage, and high SPL capability in a compact package. Its combination of FEA-optimized LF driver, titanium HF compression driver, and integrated protection circuitry provide reliable speech and music reproduction in exposed venues. The flexible rigging and connection options reduce inventory needs while supporting precise system design.
