Description
The Vcore is a compact wireless video transmitter that enables 4K30 camera output to be monitored and streamed on mobile devices and compatible receivers. It connects to cameras via HDMI or USB-C and streams video over the 5 GHz band. The system provides on-set monitoring, recording, and live streaming features for run-and-gun and studio productions.
Key capabilities include HDMI 1.4b input and USB-C output to phones or tablets, internal SD recording of proxy files, and wireless transmission to up to four mobile devices or Pyro receivers. The unit streams UHD 4K30 or lower resolutions with low latency and supports H.264 proxy recording as well as ProRes bridging when used with iOS devices. Built-in timecode detection enables reliable proxy linking in common NLEs.
Performance details include transmission up to 350ft line-of-sight on the 5.15 to 5.85 GHz frequency range with approximate latency around 65 ms and reported latency <80 ms. RF parameters include 21.5 dBm transmit power and -93 dBm sensitivity, with a 20 MHz channel bandwidth. Internal power is supplied by a 5150 mAh battery and the unit consumes approximately 4.5 W.
Connectivity and compatibility cover Android and iOS devices and integration with HollyView and HollyLink software. HollyView provides real-time monitoring, recording, annotation, and direct social streaming via RTMP or platform SDKs. HollyLink enables tethered image transfer to Capture One on macOS or Windows while the device is connected by USB to the camera and to the computer by Wi-Fi.
Typical applications include remote monitoring on set, live streaming via smartphone-hosted RTMP, multi-operator monitoring across phones and receivers, and backup proxy recording for editorial workflows. The Vcore supports wireless timecode embedding and proxy creation to simplify dailies and edit preparation. It also enables camera record start/stop control from the companion app for remote operation.
Installation and daily operation are straightforward – mount via the included cold shoe or 1/4″-20 accessory point, connect camera HDMI or USB-C, and power via USB-C to recharge the internal battery. The unit supports firmware updates and diagnostics through the HollyView app and provides a status display for quick health checks. The build is compact and designed for lightweight camera rigs and gimbal use.
