The EXF-300-H2 is a fiber-optic HDMI extender set designed to transmit full-bandwidth HDMI 2.0 signals up to 300m 984ft over OM3 multimode fiber. It preserves 18Gbps TMDS data rates and supports HDCP 2.2 to ensure protected 4K content integrity. The kit delivers pixel-accurate video and robust control passthrough for remote displays.

This extender set supports 4K60 4:4:4, high frame-rate HDR and Dolby Vision up to specified limits, ensuring accurate color and motion for demanding video sources. It carries multichannel LPCM and lossless formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Bi-directional IR and RS-232 control are passed over the fiber link to enable full remote device management.

Technically the system transmits TMDS over fiber at a 10Gbps encoding data rate with a maximum pixel clock of 600mHz. Supported resolutions include 1920x1080p@60Hz 16bit, 3840x2160p@60Hz 10bit 4:2:0 HDR and 4096x2160p@60Hz 8bit 4:4:4. It is compatible with DCI, RGB, HDR10, HLG, BT.2020 and BT.2100 standards within the listed format constraints.

Connectivity includes an HDMI 19-pin Type A input on the transmitter and an HDMI 19-pin Type A output on the receiver plus SFP+ OM3 LC fiber connections. Control and metadata are supported over HDMI and fiber links with EDID passthrough and HDCP 2.2 compliance. RS-232 uses a 3-pin Phoenix connection and IR uses 3.5mm connectors, both carried bidirectionally over OM3 fiber.

The EXF-300-H2 is suited to environments where EMI or RF noise would compromise copper links – fiber transmission is immune to electromagnetic interference and maintains signal integrity over long distances. Typical applications include digital signage, auditoriums, broadcast racks and retail installations requiring long-distance 4K delivery. Its support for HDR and high frame-rate content makes it compatible with modern media and playback devices.

Installation is straightforward using standard OM3 multimode fiber and the included 12V DC power supplies. Units mount using supplied brackets and use familiar HDMI, IR and RS-232 connectors for system integration. The compact form factor and low power draw simplify rack or shelf deployment while preserving professional signal quality.
