The EX-100-KVM-IP is a KVM over IP extender set designed to deliver real-time 4K video distribution with sub-millisecond responsiveness. It transmits 4K@30Hz and supports high fidelity color sampling up to 4:4:4, enabling pixel-accurate remote desktop and AV workflows. The system is intended for professional AV installations that require responsive control and high resolution video over standard 1GbE networks.

This extender set provides USB 2.0 over IP and an integrated USB hub to extend keyboards, mice, and other peripherals across the network. Audio is preserved as multi-channel PCM and common Dolby/DTS formats to support full audio pass-through. The encoder and decoder pair use compressed IP streaming to maintain efficient bandwidth use while preserving image quality.

Performance specifications include a quoted encoding data rate up to 9Gb/s and an end-to-end latency figure of 80 microseconds in encoded transport, with ultra-low interactive latency under 1ms for KVM control. Video resolutions supported include 1920x1080p@60Hz 12bit, 3840x2160p@30Hz 8bit and 4096x2160p@30Hz 8bit. The product supports HDMI 1.4b and HDCP 1.4 compliance for protected content.

Connectivity is provided via standard HDMI type A and RJ-45 8-pin LAN ports on the encoder and decoder units. USB power per port is limited to 0.5A recommended and the kit includes a built-in USB 2.0 hub for peripheral aggregation. The unit operates over a 1GbE network enabling effectively unlimited distance when used with appropriate network infrastructure.

Common applications include control rooms, broadcast and production desks, digital signage distribution and remote workstations where low-latency control and high-resolution monitoring are required. The low-latency KVM capability is suitable for live production switching scenarios and precision remote operator control. Multi-channel audio support makes the system suitable for AV playback and monitoring environments.

Installation is plug-and-play with optional DIP switch grouping to set up to 16 extender sets on the same network. The units are compact and designed for rack or shelf mounting with included brackets. Compliance with CE EMC, FCC, RCM and RoHS standards assures regulatory compatibility in typical professional installations.
