Description
The KD-IP1022ENC-II is a 4K AV-over-IP encoder designed to capture HDMI sources and deliver low-latency video over a verified network switch – it supports up to DCI 4K30 and UHD 4K30. This encoder includes USB KVM switching and audio de-embedding to integrate AV and peripheral control in a single device. It supports PoE for flexible deployment and offers HDMI pass-through for local monitoring.
Key features include scalable IP video encoding, USB 2.0 KVM routing for up to four keyboard/mouse devices, and analog and optical audio de-embed outputs. The unit handles HDCP 2.2 and a full EDID/HDCP handshake to maintain source and display compatibility. App and KDMS Pro readiness provide graphical setup, image preview, and drag-to-manage video wall templates.
Performance supports 12-bit 4:4:4 HDR for compatible sources and a proprietary IP encoding range from 1280×720 up to 4096×2160 at 30p. The encoder offers low-latency operation and a full buffer system for TMDS re-clocking, signal re-generation, HDCP authentication, EDID control, and hot plug management. USB routing follows the selected AV source with a maximum of four keyboard or mouse devices routed simultaneously.
Connectivity covers one HDMI input, one HDMI pass-through output, one GbE LAN port, USB-B 2.0 for KVM, a 6-pin Phoenix audio output, optical audio de-embed, micro-USB service port, and multiple 3-pin Phoenix control ports for IR, RS-232 and remote. IR in supports +5V powering and two-channel control for devices connected to the encoder and decoder. Webcams are not supported.
Typical applications include digital signage, control-room endpoint encoding, presentation systems, and multi-display video walls where independent video/audio/USB routing and low latency are required. The encoder is compatible with KD-IP822 and KD-IP922 devices to build video walls up to 16×16 displays and large-scale distributed AV systems. The unit is app-ready for simplified deployment and can be integrated with third-party IP control via the KeyCode API.
Installation and operation are oriented toward integrators and AV technicians – the device includes PoE support for simplified cabling or a 12 VDC power input, rack or bracket mounting options, and a web GUI plus KDMS Pro compatibility for system setup. Built-in EDID library and hot plug controls let installers manage signal handshakes reliably. The KD-IP1022ENC-II combines AV-over-IP encoding, USB KVM, and audio extraction into a compact, network-friendly appliance.
