Description
KX9980 KVM over IP Transmitter
As workplaces face restructuring and decentralization, control room operations are challenged to pivot effectively under new safety protocols. Despite manpower shortages, managing escalations with secure, precise, and timely data from real-time monitoring and dynamic collaboration has become more mission-critical than ever.
The KX9980 is a high-performance KVM over IP transmitter that connects to a DisplayPort computer and enables secure, remote, uninterrupted access from a 5K DisplayPort KVM console connected to a KX9980 receiver over an Intranet or dedicated LAN. With the receiver console installed remotely, mission-critical control room operations become more ergonomic, user-centered, and task-oriented, while remaining isolated from environmental interference.
The KX9980 supports up to 10 Gbps fiber network connections, 5K audiovisual performance, speedy peripheral data sharing, and other advanced features. This future-proof KVM over IP Matrix System solution, with flexible extender connections, visual collaboration, and system control, streamlines workflows and boosts operator productivity.
Native DisplayPort Signal Processing with 12-bit Deep Colors
Powered by native DisplayPort signal processing with 8/10/12-bit color depth, the KX9980 delivers vivid visualization with Adobe RGB, sRGB, YCbCr, and YUV color spaces, enabling lossless video compression during real-time KVM over IP transmission.
Pixel-Perfect 5K Audiovisual Performance
The KX9980 delivers 5K@60 Hz@4:4:4 image quality with dithering effects from the graphics card for wider luminosity and smoother image rendering, enhancing the control room user experience and productivity.
Spectacular Video FPS for eSports Broadcasting
With eSports viewership increasing, the KX9980 supports 1920×1080@240Hz (CVT-RB) and 2560×1440@144Hz, allowing seamless switching between live player feeds and gaming content with zero noticeable lag.
Enhanced Isochronous USB Transmission
USB peripheral ports enable high-rate isochronous data transfer for cameras, microphones, speakers, and other devices.
Fail-Safe System with Network/Power Redundancy
Network and power redundancy ensures uninterrupted operation during contingencies. The KX9980 extenders support two SFP+ modules and one RJ-45 port for fiber and copper network connections, guaranteeing real-time data transmission and system uptime.
Panel Array™ Mode to Maximize Remote Console Efficiency
In combination with CCKM (KVM over IP Matrix Manager), operators can view multiple transmitters simultaneously in 2×2 up to 6×6 multiview layouts on a single screen.
Effortless KVM over IP Extension
The KX9980 provides secure, zero-latency KVM over IP transmission with no distance constraints. Data is encrypted with AES 256-bit before transmission and decrypted at the receiver.
KVM over IP Control Access as Emergency Measure
A PS/2 port connects to a KVM over IP Access Control Box (2XRT-0015G) to stop all remote receiver connections in emergencies, enabling local troubleshooting and maintenance.
Comprehensive Video Wall Collaboration
With ATEN’s Boundless Switching, operators can move the mouse across screens to switch control between computers. Screen contents can be “pushed” or “pulled” for collaboration, sharing, and troubleshooting, streamlining workflows for timely decision-making.
KVM over IP Matrix System for Future Control Rooms
The KX9980 is flexibly scalable for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, multipoint-to-point, and multipoint-to-multipoint installations. Extenders can be mixed in a matrix configuration and managed centrally via CCKM’s web GUI or iPad app.
Applications
Ideal for mission-critical control room operations requiring secure KVM over IP agility, real-time monitoring, and ergonomic desktop management, including broadcasting NOCs, ATC towers, production line monitoring, and professional gaming.
