Description
The BP-6000-A4M is a dual-channel universal beltpack designed for professional party-line intercom systems. It provides a portable user station that auto-configures to Audiocom and Clear-Com systems via a mode-sensing system. The beltpack supports both dynamic and electret headset microphones and includes an A4M style headset jack for flexible headset connections.
The unit features voice prompts that guide users through configuration and programmable options for the TALK button. Remote Mic Kill capability silences all active microphones to reduce background noise during breaks or announcements. The beltpack uses auto-sensing headset inputs and a 4-pin male XLR for headset connection while line and loop use 6-pin Switchcraft connectors.
Performance specifications include low current draw that allows more beltpacks to be powered from the same supply and a headphone amplifier rated for greater than 140mW into a 150 ohm load. Audio frequency response for intercom channels and headphone output is specified at 200Hz to 8kHz. Total harmonic distortion is specified at under 1.0% across channels to preserve intelligibility.
Connectivity is provided by a 4-pin male XLR headset connector and separate 6-pin Switchcraft connectors for line and loop. The beltpack accepts headset impedance ranges of 50 to 200 ohms for dynamic microphones and 1k to 13k ohms for electret types. Call signaling and mic-off signaling are supported on specified frequencies and DC depending on the channel type.
The BP-6000-A4M is suited to production crews, live events, broadcast teams, and fixed-installation intercom networks where reliable party-line communication is required. It integrates into existing Audiocom and Clear-Com environments while simplifying user setup through voice prompts and auto-detection.
