Description
The BP-325 is a 2-channel portable beltpack station designed for use on Two-Wire RTS intercom systems. It provides selectable momentary or latching talk operation and a dedicated call function for paging or alerting users on either channel. The beltpack accepts dynamic and carbon-mic headsets and delivers local sidetone control for comfortable monitoring during speech.
Key features include momentary push-to-talk and latching talk modes, a call indicator LED, adjustable sidetone level and a microprocessor-controlled microphone kill detect function. The unit supports mono and stereo dynamic headset wiring via XLR connectors and a dedicated 1/4 inch jack for carbon-mic headsets or remote mic switching. A program input and loop-through connectors expand on-air capabilities.
Performance characteristics include a typical intercom-line impedance of 10 kOhms and a noise contribution of -75 dBu to a 200 Ohm intercom line. Program input handles up to +20 dBu maximum and nominal levels between -10 and +8 dBu, with a frequency response of 100 Hz to 12 kHz ±3 dB. The unit is powered from the intercom line at approximately 30 VDC nominal and draws 65 to 85 mA during operation.
Connectivity is comprehensive for portable intercom stations – a female XLR-3 intercom line input, an XLR-3 line loop/aux connector, XLR-4 and XLR-5 headset connectors, and a 1/4 inch 3-conductor jack for carbon-mic headsets or remote switch functions. Pin assignments are provided for each connector to ensure correct headset wiring and remote switching. The loop-through XLR preserves power and audio routing for daisychaining beltpacks.
The BP-325 is suited to live event production, broadcast and studio communications where compact, reliable two-channel talkback is required. The call function and audible call alert on the listen side make paging and discrete alerts simple to manage across the intercom network.

Operating range spans 0 to 50 C and storage tolerances accommodate wide temperature and humidity ranges.
