The SS-2002S is a portable 2-channel intercom speaker station designed for professional broadcast and live-production environments. It provides full send and receive capability and is housed in an S-box enclosure with an integral carrying handle for easy transport. The unit supports both panel and gooseneck microphones and offers flexible talk and listen controls.

Key features include a 4-watt speaker, backlit front-panel controls for Talk, Call, Listen, Speaker and Panel Mic, and a backlit channel select switch. The talk key supports push-to-talk and hands-free latching operation modes, and the panel mic key toggles between the built-in electret microphone and an optional gooseneck. Internal DIP switches provide setup control including mic kill and call signaling options.

On the technical side the SS-2002S delivers a send and receive frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 100 mVrms and a gain of 35 dB. The speaker amplifier is rated at 4 watts into an 8 ohm load and the unit provides a panel microphone preamp and program amplifier. Input level range is -40 dB to +35 dB and the unit supports balanced and unbalanced intercom channel impedances.

Connectivity is straightforward with simplified 3-pin XLR loop-thru connectors for fast integration into intercom systems and separate XLR-4M and 1/4″ TRS inputs for headset and gooseneck microphones. Phantom power is available at 24 VDC nominal and local power can be supplied at 12-15 VDC. Front-panel controls and internal DIP switches allow configuration of sidetone, mic kill, incoming call beep behavior and microphone type selection.

The SS-2002S is ideal for production trucks, remote broadcasts, theater comms and OB vans where a compact portable intercom station is required. Its backlit controls and selectable talk modes make it suitable for low-light and hands-busy workflows. The carrying handle and compact S-box enclosure simplify deployment and relocation between events.

Installation is straightforward and the unit is designed for quick connection and configuration on-site.
