Description
The Secure 1-Port HDMI KVM Isolator enforces one-way data flow between a computer and peripherals to prevent data leakage and compromise. This hardware isolator separates video audio and USB paths so peripherals cannot mediate between a secure host and an untrusted device. The product is certified to the NIAP Common Criteria PP4.0 PSD Protection Profile to meet strict security requirements.
Key features include unidirectional HDMI video transfer, unidirectional embedded digital audio, and unidirectional USB keyboard and mouse ports. The unit supports HDMI 1.4 signaling and captures EDID only when explicitly triggered by the installer to block continuous EDID exchange. Built-in EDID parsing and limitation reduce the attack surface by passing only minimum required display information.
Performance supports up to 3840×2160 at 30 Hz through HDMI inputs and outputs and handles standard USB HID keyboard and mouse connections via USB Type A and Type B connectors. The isolator is powered by an external 12V DC supply with a maximum current draw of 1.5A and includes a wall-mounted power adapter rated 90 to 240V AC. Environmental ratings include 0 to 40 C operating temperature and non-condensing humidity ranges as specified.
Connectivity is straightforward: connect the secure computer and peripherals to the isolator using the provided USB and HDMI ports then connect the isolator to the console keyboard mouse display and audio devices. The device is compatible with Windows Linux and Mac environments for standard HID operation. LED indicators and a one-time EDID LOCK capture make device commissioning deterministic and auditable.
Common applications include secure meeting rooms where a classified workstation shares a display or speakers with an unsupervised guest laptop secure presentation environments in government military and financial facilities and any scenario that requires preventing data exfiltration via peripheral channels. The isolator prevents hostile devices from exploiting display or audio interfaces to compromise a secure host. It is suitable wherever NIAP PP4.0 certification is required.
Installation is simple and requires a one-time EDID capture initiated by a short press of the EDID LOCK button followed by a unit restart. The unit includes LED feedback for EDID status and ships with an external power supply; rack mounting and centralized power distribution options are available via accessory kits and a PDUI power distribution unit. The isolator is compact durable and backed by a two year warranty and a 10 year product life-cycle.
