Description

The UMCE10C-N is an HDBaseT copper extender designed to carry USB 3.2 data plus video and control signals over long distances. It extends DP/HDMI video up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 across a single copper link up to 100m. The product includes transmitter and receiver units and supports power over cable to simplify installation.

The extender features a dual display connector design that handles DP and HDMI sources and sinks, and a USB-C host port that extends to four USB 3.2 Type A ports at the receiver. It supports full USB 3.2 bandwidth for demanding peripherals such as webcams and high-speed storage. PoC support allows a single external PSU to supply both transmitter and receiver when required.

Performance specifications include UHD video to 3840×2160 at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma fidelity when used within the specified 100m copper range. USB connectivity supports 4x USB 3.2 devices on the receiver and a USB 3.2 Type C host at the transmitter. Environmental ratings cover 0C to 40C operating temperature and 0-80 percent non-condensing humidity for reliable operation in AV racks and equipment rooms.

Connectivity is provided via an RJ45 HDBaseT link plus terminal block RS232 on the receiver that includes a power pin to supply other High Sec Labs products. Console display ports are not required at the transmitter side because the unit uses DP/HDMI dual connector compatibility. Supported host platforms include Windows, Linux and Mac for broad compatibility with AV and IT systems.

This product is well suited to presentation spaces, lecture halls and broadcast control rooms where USB 3.2 cameras and storage need to be colocated away from the host computer. It supports remote KVM style control and extension of high-bandwidth USB devices while preserving high-quality video to the display. Installers will find the single-cable HDBaseT link reduces cabling complexity compared to running separate video and USB cables.

The UMCE10C-N uses a compact metal enclosure designed for rack shelf or table placement and includes external power supply support at 12VDC 3.5A. Setup is plug-and-play for video and USB devices with minimal configuration required, and PoC simplifies powering both ends in many installations. The unit carries CE, FCC and other common certifications and is covered by a two year warranty for professional deployments.
