Description

The BTR-800 UHF base station is a frequency-agile wireless intercom hub designed for reliable full-duplex communications. It operates across the 470-740 MHz UHF range and supports up to four beltpacks operating on two independent audio channels. The system is intended for professional AV and broadcast teams requiring clear, simultaneous talk and listen capability.

Key features include two separate audio channels so operators can select party line or private communications, ClearScan automatic channel selection, and dedicated wireless talk-about and stage-announce controls. The base station supports binaural beltpack operation in stereo or mono modes and provides a backlit LCD for real-time status monitoring. The design includes a relay for stage-announce and configurable auxiliary audio paths.

Performance specifications include FM modulation with 40 kHz deviation (35 kHz for Europe), RF frequency stability of 0.005, and selectable transmit power settings of 100 mW and 10 mW. Line-of-sight operation typically reaches about 1,000 feet and beltpacks achieve approximately 12 hours of operation on standard alkaline batteries.
