Description

The RTS TR-800-HE is a two-channel UHF wireless beltpack designed to provide reliable crew intercom communication. It offers frequency-agile operation in HE band ranges and a compact all-metal cast magnesium housing for rugged field use. The unit is intended to deliver clear audio and dependable talk control in production environments.

Key features include an LCD-based graphical user interface, individual audio channel selection and per-channel volume control. The beltpack supports stage announce and wireless talk-around functions and has an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic microphones. Detachable screw-type antennas and enhanced ClearScan improve RF setup and monitoring.

Technically the TR-800-HE operates across RF ranges of 470-608 MHz and 614-740 MHz in 18 MHz TX and RX bands and uses a dual-conversion superheterodyne synthesized FM architecture with 712 channels. Frequency stability and sensitivity specifications support stable links in challenging RF environments. Audio response covers 300 Hz to 8 kHz with low distortion at full deviation.

Connectivity includes replaceable 1/4 wave screw-type antennas for transmit and receive and a headset output specified at 40 mW into 600W with 1% distortion. Power is supplied by six AA cells with NiMH battery support as an option. Visual indicators include BAT/OM and talk lights for quick system feedback.
