The RTS TR-800-FDR is a two-channel UHF wireless beltpack designed as a user station for professional intercom systems. It pairs with the BTR-800 base station to provide reliable full-duplex communication across selectable UHF bands. The unit features a rugged cast magnesium housing engineered for road use and extended deployments.

The beltpack includes individual volume controls, an LCD graphical user interface, and dedicated controls such as an audio channel select button and talk button. It supports Wireless Talk Around (WTA) and Stage Announce (SA) functions that simplify local routing and stage paging. A battery/overmod indicator and talk light provide clear status feedback during live operations.

Technically the TR-800-FDR operates across UHF frequency ranges of 470-608 MHz and 614-740 MHz in 18 MHz TX and RX bands and provides synthesized FM tuning with 712 channels. Frequency response is 300 Hz to 8 kHz and RF sensitivity is rated under 0.7 for 12 dB SINAD. The unit maintains RF frequency stability of 0.005 and image rejection of 70 or better for consistent RF performance.

Connectivity includes detachable screw-type 1/4 wave antennas for both transmit and receive, and an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic headset microphones. Local headset output is specified at 40 mW into 600W at 1% distortion. The beltpack also supports standard headset impedance and microphone input sensitivity as provided in the technical data.
