The RTS TR-800-FD is a two-channel UHF wireless beltpack designed to interface with RTS BTR-800 base stations – it provides reliable intercom audio and control in live event and broadcast environments. The unit is frequency-agile and supports Band FD operation across standard UHF ranges. Its compact beltpack form factor makes it suitable for stage, production, and remote communication workflows.

The beltpack features individual audio level controls and a graphical LCD interface for intuitive operation – users can select channels, monitor battery and modulation status, and activate auxiliary functions. Key control features include On/Off and volume control, Audio Channel Select button, Talk Button and Talk Light, and a Bat/Overmod indicator. The unit also supports Wireless Talk Around and Stage Announce functions for flexible comms routing.

Technically the TR-800-FD uses a dual conversion superheterodyne receiver architecture and synthesized FM tuning with up to 712 channels available. RF frequency ranges include 470-608 MHz and 614-740 MHz across 18 MHz transmit and receive bands. The beltpack delivers a frequency response of 300 Hz to 8 kHz and RF sensitivity and stability metrics suited for professional intercom deployments.

Connectivity and headset support are robust – the unit ships with detachable 1/4 wave screw-type antennas and a headset connector that auto-senses electret and dynamic microphone types. Local headset output provides 40 mW into the specified load and the microphone input sensitivity and local audio levels are adjustable. The connector and antenna design allow for quick field service and compatibility with common intercom headsets.
