Description
The TR-800 is a two-channel UHF wireless beltpack designed to operate as a user station on compatible base units. It provides clear intercom audio across selectable UHF bands and supports up to 712 synthesized channels for frequency agility. The unit is built to deliver stable RF performance and reliable talk functionality in professional event and broadcast environments.
Key features include individual channel volume control, wireless Talk Around (WTA), Stage Announce (SA) and push-to-talk operation for simple crew communication. The beltpack includes an LCD graphical user interface and a talk light for clear status indication. Enhanced ClearScan and selectable frequency bands reduce interference and simplify channel planning.
Technically the TR-800 supports RF frequency ranges of 470-608 MHz and 614-740 MHz in 18 MHz transmit and receive bands and offers a frequency response of 300 Hz to 8 kHz. Distortion is specified below 1% at full deviation and RF sensitivity is under 0.7 for 12 dB SINAD for solid receive performance. RF frequency stability and image rejection specifications ensure consistent operation in dense RF environments.
Connectivity includes detachable 1/4 wave screw-type antennas for TX and RX and an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic headset microphones. Local headset output is rated at 40 mW into 600 Ohm and the unit supports standard headset wiring and levels. Power is provided by six AA cells with NiMH options available for rechargeable operation.
The TR-800 is suited for production crews, broadcast teams and live-event staff who require reliable two-channel wireless intercom. Use cases include on-stage comms, remote camera intercom, and OB truck crew coordination where clear talk and stage announce functions are required. Its frequency agility and enhanced scanning features help avoid RF conflicts in crowded venues.
Installation and daily operation are straightforward thanks to the LCD GUI, clearly labeled controls and a robust cast magnesium case that withstands touring conditions. Detachable antennas and a compact beltpack form factor simplify deployment and maintenance. Battery replacement is simple and the unit offers reliable LED indicators for battery and overmod conditions during use.
