Description

The BP-325 is a 2-channel portable intercom beltpack designed for two-wire RTS intercom systems. It provides selectable momentary talk or latched talk modes so users can choose press-to-talk or continuous transmit. The unit is compact and intended for mobile use on productions and live events.

Key features include a Talk button with momentary and latch functionality, a red call LED for incoming pages, and a sidetone adjustment to control the level of your own voice in headphones. The beltpack supports mono and stereo dynamic-mic headsets plus a dedicated connector for carbon-mic headsets. A microphone kill detect function prevents unattended stations from transmitting.

Audio performance includes low noise contribution and defined nominal and maximum program input levels. Program input supports maximum +20 dBu and nominal levels between -10 and +8 dBu. Frequency response is 100 Hz to 12 kHz, ±3 dB, and intercom line impedance is typically 10 kOhms.

Connectivity is comprehensive for a portable unit – XLR-4 and XLR-5 headset connectors, a 1/4″ 3-conductor phone jack for carbon-mic headsets, and XLR intercom line input and loop/aux connectors. The beltpack is powered via the RTS intercom line on channel one and can accept remote mic switch or external power connections. Loop-through and program input wiring are provided on the line loop/aux connector.

Typical applications include broadcast ENG/OB workflows, live production crews, and event communication systems where a small, reliable two-channel beltpack is required. The BP-325 is suited for camera operators, stagehands, and technical directors who need simple access to two intercom channels and fast paging.
