The TR-82N is a two-channel Narrow Band UHF wireless beltpack designed to pair with the BTR-80N base station – it provides reliable crew communications in staging and broadcast environments. This dual-listen beltpack lets an operator monitor two intercom channels simultaneously and adjust levels independently. The design focuses on clear, immediate access to comms controls and dependable field performance.

Key features include a Low Battery/Overmodulation (BAT/OM) indicator, On/Off and volume controls, a receiver RF meter and an LCD based graphical user interface. The unit provides Stage Announce (SA), a Talk Button and Talk Light plus Wireless Talk Around (WTA) to enable localized talk paths. Detachable antennas and enhanced ClearScan improve RF handling in challenging RF environments.

Technically the TR-82N is frequency-agile within the HE UHF band and operates in narrowband channels to comply with regulatory channel spacing. The beltpack runs from six AA cells (alkaline standard, NiMH optional) and is rated to operate between -20°C and 55°C. The chassis is an all-metal cast magnesium case for resilience in touring or fixed-install applications.

Connectivity includes an auto-sensing headset connector that switches between electret and dynamic headset microphones automatically and accommodates binaural operation. Detachable antennas simplify transport and antenna replacement while the receiver RF meter provides real-time signal feedback. The unit is specifically engineered for integration with the RTS BTR-80N system and similar RTS infrastructures.
