Description

The BTR-80N is a 2-channel UHF wireless intercom base station designed to provide clear, full-duplex crew communications in congested RF environments. It offers frequency agility across selectable 18 MHz bands and supports simultaneous wireless access from multiple beltpacks. The base includes an integrated headset talk/listen station for on-site monitoring and control.

Key features include Enhanced ClearScan automatic frequency selection, DSP audio processing, combination tone code and RF noise squelch, and support for up to four simultaneous wireless beltpacks. The system provides a stage announce output with relay closure and wireless talk-around isolation for localized communication. A front-panel headset connector and dedicated controls allow a fifth user to monitor and participate locally.

Technically the BTR-80N operates on factory-selected frequency groups with transmit and receive ranges of 554-572 MHz transmit and 650-668 MHz receive in the A5F RTS, C3 configuration. The improved narrow-band modulation delivers a 25 kHz modulated bandwidth, and the unit includes a transmit power level switch for range and interference management. DSP digital audio processing ensures consistent voice clarity and reliable squelch behavior under varied conditions.

Connectivity includes balanced XLR auxiliary audio input and output, dedicated 2-wire XLE and 4-wire RJ-11 connectors, and a full-function front-panel headset station with independent volume and mic gain controls. The unit is compatible with Audiocom, Clear-Com, RTS/RTS matrix wired and wireless intercom systems. Dual-voltage power input supports international deployment and uninterrupted operation.

The BTR-80N is suited to production, broadcast, theatre, and event communications where robust RF performance and simple frequency management are required. It provides a compact base-station footprint with a transparent menu-driven graphical interface and backlit display for rapid setup.
