Description

The ALIF1102T-US is a single head DisplayPort transmitter designed to extend KVM and video signals over IP. It relocates critical computing hardware to a secure environment while delivering a pixel-perfect desktop experience to the user. The unit preserves digital video fidelity using spatially-lossless encoding and 1:1 pixel mapping.

Key features include support for 2560 x 1600 at 60 fps and 8 bpc colour depth, USB 2.0 true emulation for human interface devices, and two network options via a fixed 1GbE CATx port plus an SFP socket. The device supports digital audio via USB and the DisplayPort connector and can disable non-HID USB devices for secure environments. Network teaming provides redundancy and resilience for mission-critical systems.

Technical performance is driven by a 1GbE bandwidth core and support for both copper and fiber via SFP transceivers. The ALIF1102T-US implements intelligent EDID management to present the true monitor characteristics to the host. Frame rate, colour depth and spatially-lossless encoding ensure the received video matches the source with no artifacts and accurate color reproduction.

Connectivity covers a full-size DisplayPort, one USB A port and one USB B port both using USB 2.0 true emulation, an 8p8c (RJ45) 1GbE port, an SFP slot for fiber or additional CATx, and an RS232 serial interface. The transmitter is compatible with all known operating systems and supports touchscreens, onscreen keyboard functions, and dithered video handling for legacy or noisy sources. Redundant network operation and optional AIM management enable matrix configurations and distributed KVM switching.

Typical applications include control rooms, broadcast operator stations, secure server rooms, and industrial workstations where equipment must be removed from the user area. The unit is suitable where pixel accuracy and low-latency control are required, such as media production, technical operations, and secure command centers. It supports switching between up to 16 sources at each receiver when used as a distributed switch.

Installation is plug and play with zero-config startup and no drivers required, allowing fast deployment. The compact metal enclosure is fanless and rated for 0 – 40 C operation, providing quiet and reliable operation. Mean time between failures is specified at 476,000 hours and the product carries CE, cULus, FCC, ICES, RCM and UKCA approvals, supporting professional AV integration and long-term reliability.
