Description
The ALIF102T-DP is a ZeroU DisplayPort transmitter that extends pixel-accurate video and USB 2.0 over standard network cabling. It provides spatially lossless encoding with 1:1 pixel mapping to ensure the remote display receives identical digital video to the source. The unit is designed for installation in server rooms where rack space is constrained and reliability is critical.
Key features include support for up to 2560 x 1600 at 60Hz, 8 bpc colour depth, and USB 2.0 True Emulation for HID and mass storage device control. The system supports dithered video sources and preserves colour fidelity without introducing compression artifacts. Bi-directional USB stereo audio and embedded video audio delivery are also supported.
Performance is enabled over CAT5e and above up to 100m using a 1GbE link, delivering low-latency remote access suitable for real-time control. The product includes intelligent EDID management to pass monitor characteristics back to the host and maintain correct display timings automatically. MTBF is rated at 1,300,000 hours under Telcordia SR332 guidelines.
Connectivity includes one full-size DisplayPort 1.1 (dual-mode) input, two USB A ports with full-speed/high-speed support, and one RJ45 link port. Power options include USB-powered operation drawing under 5W or an optional external 5VDC 1A supply for environments that require dedicated power. The device is plug-and-play and requires no driver installation across known operating systems.
Typical use cases include remote KVM access in data centers, broadcast and control-room video extension, and secure environments where USB class control and device disabling are required. The unit can be deployed as a simple point-to-point extender or integrated into a distributed KVM matrix using ADDERLink INFINITY Management. It supports rapid source switching when used with compatible receivers.
Installation is straightforward due to the ZeroU form factor and compact dimensions. The ABS and aluminium construction is designed for reliability in server-room conditions and the unit meets international approvals including CE, FCC, cULus and UKCA. EDID handling, plug-and-play operation, and USB-powered capability simplify commissioning and reduce infrastructure requirements.
