Description
The BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8 is a 1 RU turnkey appliance engineered to convert between SDI and IP video streams in real time. It encodes and decodes up to eight simultaneous HD channels using H.264, H.265, MPEG-2 and MJPEG codecs. The system is designed for low-latency transport and synchronous multi-channel workflows.
Key features include eight bidirectional 3G-SDI ports, dual 10 GbE network interfaces, dual power supplies and BRIDGE LIVE HD software. The unit supports NDI native encoding/decoding, SRT v1.5.3 for resilient transport, and optional JPEG XS and JPEG 2000 licenses. Metadata handling includes SCTE-35/SCTE-104, CEA-608/708 closed captions, SEI timecode and SMPTE ST 2038 ancillary packet support.
Performance covers SD and HD formats from 720×480 to 1920×1080 at standard frame rates including 23.98p through 60p and 50i. The system supports up to eight simultaneous streams and internal MP4 recording via H.264/H.265. Video standard compliance includes SMPTE 259M-C/292M/424M/ST 2081-10/ST 2082-11 for reliable SDI interoperability.
Connectivity is comprehensive: 8x BNC 3G-SDI I/O, 4x DisplayPort monitor outputs for preview, 2x 10 GbE RJ45, genlock in/out, USB-A ports and DE-9 control. Transport protocols include HLS, RTMP, RTSP, SRT, TCP/IP and UDP to meet a range of delivery and contribution workflows. NDI support enables up to 8x simultaneous 60p HD encodes/decodes and discovery server compatibility for networked production.
The BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8 fits workflows such as remote camera backhaul, multi-site signal distribution, live streaming contribution and program return. Operators can derive multiple streams and formats from a single SDI input and transcode between IP streams and NDI for integration with studio systems. Built-in preview and metadata pass-through simplify monitoring and downstream processing.
Installation is rack-friendly in a 1 U chassis with preinstalled rack ears and included rack rails. The dual IEC C14 inputs and redundant power supplies support continuous operation in broadcast environments. Robust build quality, standard SMPTE compliance and broad protocol support provide a dependable platform for content distribution and contribution networks.
