Description
The RU-NMP44 is a network mixing processor designed to provide multiple virtual mixers on a Dante/AES67 network. It hosts six independent virtual audio mixers that receive up to four network audio sources. Each mixer offers per-input and per-output level control and routing options.
Key features include six 4×1 virtual mixers, four Dante/AES67 network inputs feeding each mixer, four Dante network outputs and two balanced analog outputs. Each mixer supports 1 dB step attenuation, automatic VOX priority ducking and selectable high-pass filters for the priority source. The unit stores up to four presets for routing and level recall.
Audio performance supports 24-bit operation at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz sample rates and operates over a 100 Mbps network connection. Analog outputs are nominal +4 dBu (-20 dBFS) into 150 Ohms and frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±0.25 dB. THD+N is better than 0.01% and noise is below 85 dB referenced to +4 dBu.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 network connector for Dante/AES67 audio channels and detachable terminal blocks for two balanced analog outputs and preset contacts. The RU-NMP44 is configurable via RDL CONSOLE or other network control software and is compatible with RDL network remote controls including RC4M. LED indicators show power and network sync status.
Practical applications include classrooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, fitness centers and retail stores where networked audio mixing, paging ducking and level control are required. The RU-NMP44 can act as mixers, source selectors, priority paging inserters or volume controls depending on network commands. Presets can be recalled at power-up or by remote/preset contact closure.
Installation is simplified by PoE Class 0 (IEEE 802.3af) support or an external 24 Vdc supply. The unit will run from the external supply and seamlessly switch to PoE if the external supply is lost. The compact all-metal enclosure supports free-standing, surface or rack-mounted installation and is built for continuous duty in commercial installations.
