Description
The DS-RN22 is a wall-mounted bi-directional Dante / AES67 audio interface designed to bring analog mic and line signals onto IP audio networks. It provides two front-panel XLR mic/line inputs and two balanced rear-panel outputs, all in a single-gang Decora form factor. The unit is PoE powered and supports professional sample rates and 24-bit conversion.
Key features include software-selectable mic and line gain, P48 phantom power, and a software-controlled output attenuator adjustable in 1 dB steps. Each input is routed to an independent Dante transmit channel and each network channel can be converted to a balanced analog output. Configuration and control are handled via RDL CONSOLE or compatible network control software.
Audio performance is centered on high-resolution 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion with supported sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz. The device operates at an audio reference of -18 dBFS = +4 dBu and delivers low noise, high CMRR and very low THD. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz within +/- 0.5 dB and headroom provides more than 18 dB above +4 dBu.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 Ethernet port supporting Dante or AES67 at 100 Mbps and indicators for link, speed, sync and power. The front panel provides two XLR female inputs and the rear uses a detachable balanced wiring block for two outputs. The module fits a standard US single-gang electrical box or an RDL WB-1U back box for thinner walls.
The DS-RN22 is appropriate for distributed audio, broadcast, conferencing and installed sound systems where networked I/O and remote control are required. It integrates with Dante-enabled consoles, AV-over-IP systems and RDL network controls to simplify signal distribution and monitoring. The software-controlled gain and attenuator settings provide precise level management across systems.
Built with steel chassis construction and a powder-coated or stainless-steel Decora front plate, the unit is designed for continuous duty installations and professional environments. Front LED indicators show PoE power and network sync status, and the product is engineered and manufactured in the U.S.A. for sustained reliability and studio-quality low-noise performance.
