Description
The D-RN02 is a wall-mounted network audio interface that converts Dante and AES67 streams into two balanced analog mic or line outputs. It provides studio-quality 24-bit digital-to-analog conversion and software control of output levels and mic/line selection. The unit is powered by PoE for simple deployment in networked audio systems.
Key features include two balanced XLR front outputs plus a rear detachable wiring block and software-controlled attenuators adjustable in 1 dB steps. Each output can be set to mic or line level and includes an attenuator range to -63 dB and OFF. The front-panel outputs mirror the rear wiring block for flexible wiring and easy serviceability.
Performance is professional grade – supporting 24-bit audio at sample rates up to 96 kHz and a network transmission rate of 100 Mbps. Nominal operating level is -18 dBFS = +4 dBu with a maximum output of +22 dBu and greater than 18 dB headroom above +4 dBu. Distortion is extremely low with THD < 0.01% at 1 kHz and THD+N under 0.1%.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 network connector with link and speed indicators and balanced XLR outputs plus a detachable rear wiring block for each channel. The D-RN02 is PoE Class 0 IEEE 802.3af powered and shows sync and power status via front-panel LEDs. Configuration and level control are handled via RDL CONSOLE or compatible network control software.
The D-RN02 suits installations requiring controlled network audio distribution – such as broadcast racks, installed sound systems, houses of worship, and commercial AV. It provides isolated analog outputs for integration into mixers, amplifiers, and recording chains. The software attenuator and mic/line selection simplify gain staging and system calibration.
Installation is simple – the module fits a US single-gang electrical box and can use an EP-1 adaptor for EU/UK mounting centers. The chassis is steel with a powder-coated or stainless Decora front plate and green LEDs visible from the front to indicate PoE and network sync. The D-RN02 is engineered for continuous duty and long-term reliability in professional installations.
