Description
The WS SB adapter is a solid surface in-wall mounting solution designed to secure Contemporary Lighting 2Gang controllers flush to solid board walls. It provides a stable recessed mount that keeps the device flush with the finished surface. The adapter accommodates maintenance access and device removal while maintaining a clean installation appearance.
The adapter features an easy insertion and removal mechanism that simplifies service and replacement. It includes a depth calibration mechanism and a spacer to adapt to different board thicknesses. The design ensures the device is retained securely while allowing repeatable access for installers and technicians.
Technically the adapter is a passive, manual mounting accessory with no power requirement. Dimensions are 154.1mm x 153.2mm x 47.0mm and the unit weighs 0.4Kg (0.88lbs). Material is moisture resistant MDF compliant with TSCA Title VI to suit interior solid surface installations.
Compatibility is targeted at Contemporary Lighting 2Gang devices; faceplates, devices and back boxes are not included. The adapter supports board thickness ranges using the included spacer or the routing template as spacer. With spacer the supported thickness is 9.5mm to 22.0mm and without spacer 21.0mm to 33.6mm.
Common applications include residential lighting control panels, commercial lighting stations and AV control locations where a flush, serviceable installation is required. The adapter is practical for retrofit and new-construction installations where solid board finishes are used. It helps maintain consistent faceplate alignment and provides repeatable access during maintenance.
Installation is straightforward for trained AV or low-voltage installers and uses standard fasteners for solid substrate mounting. The adapter provides depth calibration to accommodate a variety of board thicknesses which reduces on-site modification. Build quality emphasizes secure retention and serviceability while matching finished surface aesthetics.
