Description
The CLS-AOCU32/AC-25 is a 25ft USB 3.2 Gen 2 optical hybrid cable that delivers up to 10Gbps data transfer. It connects a USB-A host to a USB-C device using a combination of fiber and copper conductors. The cable is designed for reliable, high-speed data links in AV and peripheral environments.
Key features include true plug-and-play operation and no external drivers required. The cable draws minimal power from the USB source and supports USB backward compatibility with USB 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0. The hybrid construction provides signal integrity over longer runs while maintaining USB 3.2 Gen 2 throughput.
Technical specifications include a two channel OM2 850 nm VCSEL fiber array and bare copper conductors for power and control paths. Mechanical ratings list long term crush resistance 100N/100mm and short term crush resistance 500N/100mm. The cable has a 4.8mm diameter and a minimum bending radius of 20mm to support installation in constrained spaces.
Connectivity is provided by a USB 3.2 Type-A male on one end and a USB 3.2 Type-C male on the other end. The cable supports common USB devices such as cameras, webcams, printers and speakerphones. Note that this cable is designed for data transfer only and does not provide charging or carry ALT Mode video signals.
Typical use cases include connecting USB cameras and capture devices in conference rooms, extending USB peripherals across equipment racks, and linking AV endpoints where consistent 10Gbps throughput is required. The hybrid fiber/copper design reduces signal degradation over distance compared to pure copper solutions. Request that remote devices be self-powered where required.
Installation is simple – plug-and-play operation minimizes setup time and no external power supply is required for the cable itself. The jacket meets CPR Eca and LSHF flammability requirements and conforms to REACH and RoHS environmental standards. Operating and storage temperature ranges support deployment across a variety of AV environments.
