The U240:1M is a 240 W single-channel mixer amplifier designed for background music and clear voice announcements in small to medium installations. It combines a mixer section with a Class D power stage to deliver efficient amplification and controlled audio performance. Compact half-rack form factor and multiple mounting options make it suitable for constrained equipment spaces.
Key features include four inputs with two configurable mic/line channels, switchable 48 V phantom power, VOX ducking for automatic background music reduction during paging, and EMG/call override with two-tone chime. The amplifier supports 4 ohm and 8 ohm low impedance loads as well as 70 V and 100 V constant voltage outputs. Front panel LEDs provide signal, peak, protect and call status for quick troubleshooting.
Performance specifications include a frequency response from under 10 Hz to 22 kHz for inputs to output and up to 65 kHz for input to line output, distortion below 1% at rated power, and a Class D output stage for high efficiency. Equalization offers bass and treble shelving controls and two selectable high-pass filters at 70 Hz and 120 Hz to remove unwanted low-frequency content. The unit uses four-stage fan cooling with selectable speeds and is designed to operate in standard indoor climates. Robust protection circuitry guards against short circuit, over temperature and DC faults to ensure dependable long-term service.
