Description

The WS NC Uni-INwall L is a nearly flush in-wall adapter designed to mount AV and electronic devices securely behind finished drywall. It accepts devices up to 319x423x76mm and provides a paintable cover that integrates with wall surfaces. The adapter keeps the installed device accessible while maintaining a low-profile finished appearance.

Key features include a flush mounting profile, paintable finish that accepts color and texture, and interchangeable inner side plates for keystones and conduit connectors. The adapter enables easy insertion and removal of devices and supports standard junction box form factors such as the Hubbell-Raco 420. The kit is supplied unpainted so it can be finished as part of the wall once installed.

Technically the adapter is fabricated from moisture resistant MDF compliant with TSCA Title VI and sized to accept devices up to 319x423x76mm. The outer adapter dimensions are 406mm x 509.3mm x 94mm and the unit weight is 3.05Kg. It is intended for installation in 1/2in drywall and a shim P/N 10-01-067 is available for 5/8in drywall applications.

Connectivity options are supported via interchangeable inner plates that accept up to four keystone inserts and conduit connector knockouts in 1/2in, 3/4in, and 1in sizes. The adapter allows fitting of a Hubbell-Raco 420 switch box or equivalent to organize wiring and connections. This approach keeps cabling accessible behind a centered cover while maintaining a flush wall finish.

Typical applications include residential AV installs, conference room integration, and commercial presentations where discreet device mounting is required. The adapter is suitable for mounting small amplifiers, control panels, network devices, and keystone panels that fit the device envelope. It is also applicable in retrofit jobs where matching wall finish and removing protruding enclosures is desired.

Installation follows standard drywall construction procedures and requires reading Wall-Smart installation instruction 10-04-00101-INS prior to cutting and mounting. The kit includes mounting hardware and interchangeable plates to simplify alignment and secure the device. After installation the adapter is painted as part of the wall finish to complete a nearly flush, professional-looking installation.
