Description
The Datavideo HDBaseT PTZ Camera bundle pairs a motorized 20x optical zoom PTZ camera with an HBT-12 HDBaseT receiver – enabling single-cable transmission of power, video, and control. It captures up to 1080p60 video and supports H.264/H.265 encoding for network streaming and local outputs. The system is designed for lecture halls, conference rooms, and live streaming environments that require remote camera control and extended cable runs.
The camera delivers pan, tilt, and zoom control via IR remote, VISCA/RS-232, RS-422/-485, and DVIP over LAN. It includes 255 programmable presets to recall positions instantly and a red/green tally light to indicate live status. The lens provides 20x optical zoom plus 10x digital zoom with autofocus and manual focus options for precise framing.
Imaging performance is provided by a 1/2.8″ CMOS sensor with an effective 2.07 megapixels and advanced noise reduction to maintain clarity in low light down to 0.5 lux. The camera supports 1920 x 1080 at up to 60 fps and 1280 x 720 formats, and outputs via BNC 3G-SDI and HDMI. The HBT-12 receiver supports HDBaseT transmission up to 393.7ft and can pass HDMI video, DVIP control, and power over a single Cat cable.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 LAN port for IP streaming and control using RTSP and RTMP protocols, a 3.5mm stereo line input for external audio, and multiple serial ports for VISCA and RS-232 control. The HBT-12 provides HDBaseT RJ45 input and HDMI output plus RS-422/-232 control pass-through. PoE support on compatible devices simplifies power options at the receiver end.
Typical applications include campus classrooms, corporate meeting rooms, houses of worship, and live event streaming where remote camera placement and long cable runs are required. The camera’s preset recall, tally indicator, and network streaming make it suitable for multi-camera productions and managed streaming workflows. Its encoding options support direct RTSP/RTMP streams to content delivery networks or local servers.
Installation is straightforward using the included ceiling mount hardware and standard 1/4″-20 mounting thread; a WM-1 wall mount is available separately. The camera operates from a 12 VDC adapter and the receiver includes a DC 56V power adapter; both units are compact and built for continuous operation in controlled environments. The combination of HDBaseT reach, network streaming, and extensive control protocols provides a practical solution for integrators.
