Description
The PTC-140TW-12 is an HDBaseT PTZ camera bundle that pairs a 20x optical PTZ camera with an HBT-12 HDBaseT receiver – designed to deliver full HD video and remote camera control over a single Cat cable. It transmits up to 1080p60 video and supports H.264/H.265 streaming for network distribution. The package enables discreet ceiling or wall installation and integrates tally and audio input for production visibility.
The camera provides 20x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom for precise framing and subject isolation – with autofocus and manual focus options for accurate imaging. Pan and tilt ranges of 340deg and 120deg and programmable presets let operators move quickly between positions. The camera supports 255 presets and multiple control protocols including VISCA, RS-232, Pelco-D/P, IR and DVIP over LAN.
Image performance is driven by a 1/2.8″ CMOS sensor and 2.07 megapixel effective resolution that deliver 1920 x 1080 at up to 60 fps. Noise reduction and adjustable gain controls improve low-light performance down to 0.5 Lux, while white balance and exposure settings offer reliable color and exposure control. The optical lens covers a 5.2 to 98 mm focal range with a horizontal field of view from 54.7 to 3.3 deg.
For connectivity the camera supports HDBaseT output to the included HBT-12 receiver carrying video, power and control over a single Cat cable to distances of up to 328 ft over Cat 6. The HBT-12 receiver accepts HDBaseT RJ45 and provides HDMI output and RS-422/-232 control passthrough, with PoE support and transmission capability up to 393.7 ft under HDBaseT specifications. The camera also offers LAN streaming via RJ45, SDI and HDMI outputs, plus a 3.5 mm stereo line input for external audio.
This system is suited to lecture capture, conference rooms and broadcast workflows where remote camera control and long-distance signal runs are required. The camera streams via RTSP or RTMP and supports simultaneous dual-stream H.264/H.265 encoding for live streaming or CDN delivery. Preset recall, tally indication and external control support make it suitable for multi-camera productions and hybrid events.
Installation and operation are straightforward with ceiling mount hardware included and optional wall mounting available separately. Power options include the supplied 12 VDC adapter for the camera and the HBT-12 receiver supports PoE and a 56 V DC adapter. The construction and firmware support common AV control protocols to simplify integration into existing AV systems and workflows.
