Description

The OG-ColorBox from AJA provides high-performance color conversion and correction with support for HDR, SDR, and Wide Color Gamut signals.
Ideal for live events, broadcast, and studio productions, this openGear card features minimal latency, single-cable 12G-SDI support for up to DCI 4K60 video, and 4K/2K down conversion. It provides a unique color-processing pipeline, includes NBCU LUT and ACES pipelines, and offers separately available license upgrade options.

ACES Support

The OG-ColorBox supports ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) color management for maintaining consistent color through capture through editing, presentation, and future remastering.

NBCU LUTs Pipeline

Create a single-master workflow for simultaneous HDR and SDR content using NBCU LUTs. Designed for television broadcasting, the OG-ColorBox supports seven NBCU LUT conversions.

Optional Licenses

Separately available license options include:

Colorfront Engine with TV, live, and SDR to Dolby Vision preview modes.
ORION-CONVERT with Cromorama color science for dual HDR/SDR broadcast workflows.

Ultralow Latency

The OG-ColorBox’s ultralow latency of less than 1/2 video line enables it to process and output a live signal in the critical ±half line input timing requirement of most production switches.

Down Conversion and 4K/2K Crop

Independent SDI and HDMI 4K and 2K down conversions enable the OG-ColorBox to meet various monitoring requirements.

Advanced Overlay and ANC Metadata Management

Overlay selected metadata and user data on your video for live use, capture, embedding, or pass ANC metadata to a linked SDI device or application using the OG-ColorBox API.

DCI and UHD 4K Frame Capture and Recall

The OG-ColorBox’s frame capture and recall can be used for VF/X composite checks and look comparisons between takes.

Store up to 16 frames locally or using third-party software to save images to your computer.

Extensive Onboard Libraries

OG-ColorBox features an extensive library capacity with 16 memory slots for each file category, 10 presets per pipeline, and a startup preset.

ARRI LogC4 Wireless WVO Support

A built-in decoding LUT enables the OG-ColorBox to improve monitoring image quality when using LogC4 Wireless WVO wireless video transmission with an ARRI ALEXA 35.

Partner Integrations

The OG-ColorBox’s feature set can be used with third-party a RESTfuL API defined using OpenAPI. Partners include: CyanView RCP, SKAARHOJ Blue Pill, Pomfort Livegrade, QTAKE Video Assist, Assimilate, Calman calibration, and Light Illusion ColourSpace calibration.

openGear Compatibility

This AJA card is compatible with other openGear products, offering a modular rear panel, and a redundant power supply.
An Ethernet port provides access for card configuration using Ross DashBoard software.
