Description

The KN4024VB series KVM over IP switch provides local console and remote over IP access, enabling users to monitor and manage their entire data center over a network. The KN series delivers superior FHD video resolution up to 1920 × 1200, supports virtual media transmissions at double speed, and complies with FIPS 140-2 Level 1 security standards through an embedded FIPS 140-2 certified OpenSSL cryptographic module. Equipped with dual on-board NICs, the KN series ensures reliable and highly available remote access to all connected servers.

The KN series can be remotely accessed via WinClient or JavaClient* from a console at a separate location for management and operation. ATEN also provides the iOS app PadClient, featuring an intuitive interface that allows users to easily connect to the KVM over IP switch and control computers directly from an iPad. For more information, please visit the PadClient webpage.

This KVM switch provides out-of-band access with external modem support, enabling BIOS-level troubleshooting even when the primary network is down. IT administrators can manage network devices such as servers, storage systems, routers, and switches through management networks that are separate from the main or production networks. When access through the production network is unavailable, administrators can still maintain control through the KVM switch.

Multiple out-of-band access methods are supported, including direct console connections from a local computer, USB console connections from a laptop, PSTN connections via modem, and dedicated management network connections via the Ethernet (LAN) port.

The KN series integrates seamlessly with ATEN’s CC2000 Centralized Management Software, providing an enhanced user experience through consolidated data, task-based navigation, and simplified menus. This allows administrators to efficiently access, configure, and manage IT equipment.

The KN series is compatible with ATEN’s KVM over IP Console Station (KA82 series), a standalone console that eliminates the need for a PC or notebook. This solution enables secure remote access, monitoring, and control of multiple servers while offering strong protection against virus threats. It is particularly suitable for environments where PCs are prohibited. Additionally, the KN series supports ATEN’s PDU remote power management systems directly through the KVM over IP switch user interface.

Additional exclusive features include Message Board, Panel Array Mode, Mouse DynaSync™, and Adapter ID. ATEN KVM over IP switches help reduce operational costs by enabling administrators to manage data centers from virtually anywhere, minimizing travel and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) while ensuring maximum service availability.

Note

For optimal management and control, we recommend using the WinClient or JavaClient applications. Performance may vary depending on the user’s hardware configuration. A minimum system requirement of 8GB RAM, a dual-core CPU, and a graphics card supporting OpenGL is required. Please ensure that your web browser is updated to the latest version.
