The Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro is a broadcast studio camera designed to deliver cinematic Super35 6K images for live production. It combines a 23.1 x 12.99 mm Super35 sensor with Blackmagic Generation 5 color science to produce high dynamic range imagery. This camera supports high-resolution raw recording and frame rates suitable for modern studio workflows.
Key features include an active Canon EF mount, built-in electronically controlled ND filters in clear/2-stop/4-stop/6-stop positions, and a large 7in HDR touchscreen for framing and monitoring. The camera supports Blackmagic RAW recording to external USB-C disks and provides a built-in DaVinci Resolve primary color corrector. Remote lens control, talkback, and tally are supported for integrated multi-camera productions.
Technical performance includes a 6K sensor resolution of 6144 x 3456 up to 50 fps and additional Blackmagic RAW recording modes such as 5376 x 3024 up to 60 fps and 3840 x 2160 up to 60 fps. The camera offers 13 stops of dynamic range, dual native ISO behavior with native ISO 400 and high-base ISO 3200, and gain adjustable from -12 dB to +36 dB. Signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity figures deliver clean images under studio lighting and low-light conditions.
Connectivity is comprehensive with 12G-SDI input and output, 10G Ethernet for video/tally/talkback/control/power over a single Cat 6a run, HDMI with tally and record trigger, two USB-C expansion ports, XLR audio inputs with phantom power, and a 5-pin XLR talkback port. Program return includes tally and embedded talkback channels. The camera can stream H.264 over the internet and be bridged back to the studio using ATEM Streaming Bridge.

Installation and operation are designed for fast studio deployment – the camera is compact and lightweight with a carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate body and includes a sunshade and 15mm LWS rod ports. Power can be supplied via 12 VDC locking connector or delivered over 10G Ethernet using the Blackmagic Studio Converter for PoE. Menus and controls are available on the touchscreen plus physical knobs and assignable buttons for quick adjustments on set.
