Description

The URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF is a Super35 digital cinema camera designed for high-resolution film-quality capture. It pairs a 12,288 x 6,480 12K sensor with a matched optical low pass filter to reduce moire and aliasing when shooting LED volumes and detailed subjects. This model preserves wide dynamic range and color fidelity for demanding production workflows.

Key capabilities include in-sensor scaling to produce native 8K and 4K at high frame rates, an updated IR filter, and Blackmagic RAW 12-bit capture for efficient post production. The built-in mechanical ND filter system and interchangeable PL mount provide flexibility across lighting conditions and lens choices. Dual CFast 2.0 and UHS-II SD card slots plus USB-C NVMe recording support deliver multiple high-bandwidth media options.

Technically the camera features a 27.03 x 14.25 mm Super35 CMOS sensor with an effective 79.6 megapixels and an advertised 14 stops of dynamic range. Native ISO is 800 and recording modes include 12K up to 60 fps, 12K 2.4:1 up to 75 fps, 8K up to 120 fps, and 4K Super16 up to 240 fps depending on settings. The Gen 5 color science and in-sensor oversampling improve skin tones, color saturation, and reduce aliasing in downsampled deliverables.

Connectivity covers 12G-SDI input and output, an additional 3G-SDI output, two XLR audio inputs with 48V phantom power, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 for external recording, and timecode/reference I/O. Camera control and monitoring are supported via Bluetooth and mobile apps for Android and iOS. Lens metadata and a digital slate simplify editorial handoff to post production systems.

The URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF is suited to virtual production, feature cinematography, VFX plates, and high-resolution commercial work where reframe and oversampling advantages are critical. The optical low pass filter improves capture from LED walls and high-frequency displays, enabling cleaner keying and less patterning in complex lighting.
