Description
The Solidcom C1 Pro ENC Hub Base is a wired hub that extends the capacity and control of the Solidcom C1 Pro intercom system – it supports one wired headset plus eight remote headsets for a total of nine connected users. The hub operates on the 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 platform to provide secure and reliable wireless intercom communications. The unit is intended for professional production environments where clear, interference-resistant voice links are required.
The hub features environmental noise cancellation ENC technology to reduce background noise and echo on both wired and wireless headsets – improving intelligibility in noisy environments. It provides A/B grouping to separate teams and an ANNOUNCE function that mutes remote headsets and prioritizes the wired user for urgent messages. The USB Audio Class UAC interface enables simple integration with cloud meeting platforms via a direct USB connection to a PC.
Technically, the hub uses Digital DECT at 1.9 GHz with DECT 6.0 compliance and an RF bandwidth of 1.73 MHz. The system supports full-duplex audio with analog GFSK modulation and an approximate RF sensitivity of -90 dBm. Line-of-sight range is rated to 1100 ft, and encryption is proprietary to maintain secure audio links.
Connectivity includes a LEMO 10-pin wired headset port, multiple network and audio I/O ports such as 3x RJ45, 2x XLR 3-pin, USB-A and USB-C. External detachable antennas are provided for the base station and the hub supports cascade expansion over IP and 2-wire/4-wire audio interfacing. Powering options are flexible – NP-F, V-mount, G-mount battery mounts and DC power are supported for field use.
The hub is suited to film and television production, live concert and event comms, and multi-department live-broadcast workflows where segmented groups and priority announcements are required. It can be cascaded with additional hubs to scale the intercom pool and is backward compatible with earlier Solidcom C1 systems for mixed deployments. The UAC function also lets on-site comms bridge into remote conferencing systems when needed.
Installation is straightforward with a professional-grade interface and secure headset attachment for the wired operator – the unit is designed for rack or field deployment and supports hot-swappable battery options for continuous operation. Build quality and port selection prioritize integration into established AV and broadcast rigs while maintaining the mobility needed on location.
