The EZ-MCP1 is an inline microphone compressor designed to deliver consistent
audio levels despite wide variations in microphone output (up to 30 dB).
It installs directly between a dynamic or condenser microphone and a
mic-level input on a mixer or amplifier.
Setup is quick and simple: adjust the front-panel level trimmer during normal
speech until the compression LED just begins to flash. A rear-panel output
level trimmer is also provided, though it typically remains at the factory
default setting.
Phantom power (24 V) is automatically enabled when the EZ-MCP1 output is
connected to a microphone input that supplies phantom voltage. By controlling
overloads that cause distortion and clipping, the EZ-MCP1 significantly
improves sound quality and speech intelligibility.
The EZ-MCP1 is ideal for recording, paging, public address systems, houses of
worship, restaurants, clubs, meeting rooms, educational facilities,
conference rooms, and commercial sound systems.
